The pair earned 10 blue ribbons together, highlighted by a World Championship in the Owner-Amateur Youth Ponies Riders 6–14 and the Owner-Amateur Youth Ponies 6–17 World Grand Championship at the Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration in 2018.
Lined Walkin’ was sired by Lined With Cash and out of the Stride’s Touch Of Pride mare First Stop. He was bred by Gale Swift of Clarksville, Tennessee, and foaled on April 1, 2005.
Lined Walkin’ made his debut as a two-year-old stallion at the Spring Fun Show in 2007 with Herbert Derickson in the irons for owner Richard Cox. Later that season, Justin Harris of Joe Fleming Stables took over the reins, and the talented stallion captured his first World Championship in the Three-Year-Old Stallions, Section B, at the 2008 Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration for owner Joey Tidwell.
In 2009, with Harris directing, Lined Walkin’ claimed the Four-Year-Old Stallions Canter World Championship as well as the Four-Year-Old Canter World Grand Championship at the Celebration.
Andrew Waites purchased Lined Walkin’ in 2010, and Lilly Waites shared the reins with Justin Harris. That same year, Lilly and Lined Walkin’ captured the Adult Pony Stallions World Championship and were named Reserve World Grand Champions in the Adult Walking Pony Stake at the Celebration.
In 2011, Harris and Lined Walkin’ returned to the winner’s circle with victories in both the 15.2 and Under Stallions Canter World Championship and the 15.2 and Under Canter World Grand Championship.
With Lilly Waites back in the irons, the pair enjoyed another outstanding season in 2012, winning the Youth Ponies 15–17 World Championship and the Youth Ponies World Grand Championship.
The team continued their success in the owner-amateur ranks. In 2014, Lilly and Lined Walkin’ captured the Owner-Amateur 15.2 and Under World Grand Championship at the Celebration. They followed that victory in 2015 by earning the Owner-Amateur Ponies World Grand Championship, and in 2016 they once again topped the division, winning the Owner-Amateur 15.2 and Under World Grand Championship.
Over the course of his remarkable career, Lined Walkin’ earned 61 blue ribbons and became one of the most decorated ponies of his time.
In addition to his accomplishments in the show ring, Lined Walkin’ also made his mark as a sire. His offspring include show ring standouts such as WC and RWC Walkin’ Chick, Multi-WC, RWC and RWGC Georgia Florida Line, and RWC Lilly Waites, along with many other talented performers who carried on his winning legacy.
A once-in-a-lifetime horse, Lined Walkin’ touched the lives of all who had the opportunity to know him. He will be greatly missed by his owners, riders, and the many fans who admired his talent and heart.
