Final Preparations Made for the 2025 Summer Splash Horse Show Benefiting Tennessee Walking Horse Youth Association
The Tennessee Walking Horse Youth Association (TWHYA) making final plans for its signature fundraiser, the 7th Annual Summer Splash Horse Show, set for Friday, June 13, 2025, at Champions Arena on the historic Celebration Grounds in Shelbyville.
This exciting one-night event promises a full slate of classes, special touches, and surprises - all led by the energy and creativity of the Youth Association. Proceeds from the show will benefit youth programming, scholarships, and leadership opportunities within the Tennessee Walking Horse industry.
Changes/Clarifications to the Class Sheet
• Two “Buy-A-Class” opportunities have been confirmed:
o Class 2: Amateur Model
o Class 24: Amateur Mares & Geldings
• The Championship Stake is a Canter class.
Youth-Led and Youth-Inspired
The Summer Splash Horse Show is designed by youth, for everyone. All youth class winners will receive beautiful floral horseshoes, and all winners will be able to choose their award from four unique trophy options - each selected by the youth members themselves.
A lighthearted and unique addition to the schedule is “Text & Ride,” open to any rider on any horse (performance or flat shod). The first rider to correctly text a specific phrase while riding will win the total pot of entry fees. Entry is just $10, and bragging rights are priceless!
Reserve Your Seat
Box seats are still available by contacting Chris Hazelwood at 931-215-2255. Chris is working with the organizers of the Walking for Cancer Show to make sure those who reserve a box at both shows can keep the same box seat location.
This year’s show is held the night before the popular Walking for Cancer Show, making for a fantastic weekend of showing and support. Whether you're riding, cheering from the stands, or just coming to enjoy the show atmosphere, the Summer Splash Horse Show promises an evening of fun, competition, and youth leadership on full display.
